Battgyrl Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Using the PRICELINE link I won The Benson for two nights at $100/night. I am pleased with this, but upon looking at Tripadvisor and a few other sites this is not a 4-star hotel, but rather a 3.5-star. How does Priceline determine star level (I thought they matched with TripAdvisor) and do I have any recourse to get an actual 4-star hotel? The Benson does appear to be a decent hotel and it has free internet which is nice!Maria
AaronJB Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Congratulations on your success. :)Glad you are pleased with the result and are looking forward to your stay. Different services do have different star ratings (I would not recommend using Tripadvisor as a reference - Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity instead) and PRICELINE takes its rating as an averaging from different services.Thank you for sharing your result with the board and using the site's PRICELINE link.Enjoy your stay.
Battgyrl Posted June 25, 2010 Author Report Posted June 25, 2010 Thanks for the info! :) I am sure we will be pleased with the rooms, and it's a great deal considering it's Oregon Brewfest weekend and hotels are filling up quickly. Free internet too!
AaronJB Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Free internet is a great (and rather rare) deal! Have fun at Brewfest. :)
