Book holiday car rentals early

After booking some family members a "crazy" low airfare to Florida for next X-mas, I went to see what car rentals were going for. To my surprise, the rates were quite cheap at some companies -- like $100/week for a full size car after using a typical $15 off Entertainment Book coupon. If you think you might be vacationing next X-mas in a popular resort town, it might be a good idea to try to make your car reservation super early to snag a cut-rate deal. Indeed, if your plans aren't firm, but the rates are real cheap, you can make multiple reservations and just cancel the ones you later don't need. In this case, I think I saved them 100 bucks just by booking early.
