2ethan9 Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 My dates are July 19th to the 22nd with 4 adults. I was wondering if you thought that this was the Hotel Indigo (Boutique, Fitness, Restaurant, Business, Internet, Golf, Tennis, and Spa) and if there would definitely be two beds when booking with the 4 adults option. The hotel is priced at $126 per night on my search right now. Thank you for your help in advance!
AaronJB Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)This would likely be the Indigo. While I don't know the exact situation (they may have searched for 2?), a few other posters have reported having to pay an upgrade fee ($20) for two beds at this property. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
2ethan9 Posted June 25, 2010 Author Report Posted June 25, 2010 So even if I put 4 adults in the search a surcharge would apply? Weird. Also, I have found a deal for Hotel 71 @ $135 a night with 2 queens. Sound to you guys like a good deal? Same dates.
AaronJB Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Not necessarily; I don't believe the prior posters indicated whether they selected 2 or 4. However, I believe a few posters have reported having to pay extra for 2 beds. Others may or may not have the same result. This is an example of a poster who noted the $20 fee.I like the Indigo and think it's a terrific property - I really had a very enjoyable stay there and I think it's a great location in terms of being in an area with a more "neighborhood" feel, while also being right near the beach and Michigan Ave. Lincoln Park Zoo is also an easy walk North. If you want to take the risk with 2 beds, then the HOTWIRE deal is terrific - you may not have the same experience that a few others have reported with this hotel and two beds. While a bit more expensive each night, the Orbitz deal would allow you to indicate 2 beds. Please use the site's Orbitz, PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.
