kjr Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 two rooms won on the first bid of $50 per night...total comes to $122.16 for two rooms....was kind of hoping for the hyatt but i know you never know with Priceline...and used the PRICELINE link. we shall see how it goes.
yellowdog Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 Congratulations on your success!Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding :) We wish you a nice stay.Yellowdog.
kjr Posted July 5, 2010 Author Report Posted July 5, 2010 this hotel is a dump....it is not worth the 50 bucks a night and most certainly is not a 3* although i get the idea they give you a better room the more you pay.it is the noisiest hotel i have every stayed in...other than a hotel i once stayed at next to SEA TAC airport....i have no idea how PL rates this 3*....at least they have decent customer service but IMO a crappy product will kill the stay...bad service can be made up for with a good product...at least if the room is just for sleeping...which is was....heed the tripadvisor warnings....
AaronJB Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 Sorry to hear that this was a disappointing stay. :)If you felt the hotel was not up to the 3* level, you may want to write PRICELINE.
kjr Posted July 6, 2010 Author Report Posted July 6, 2010 i did write PL...they basically blew me off - twice also when i told them their response to me was garbage......they said our system is rigerous etc...guess people never want to admit they could have gotten the PL special tour of the good rooms.......i understand this property was sold for $7.5M recently and it is going to be gutted and become a Crowne Plaza.....i suspect they are not putting a dime into the same for that very reason...live and learn....i knew having read tripadvisor that this could be a risk....so it is really my own fault....i find tripadvisor is generally pretty good at spotting a dump....i mean this is only my opinion....so take it for what it is worth.
