This is a nice Wyndham in a suburb of Chicago (not to be confused with the Wyndham Chicago in downtown, which is a beautiful hotel). Check-in was nice. I paid only $37 through Priceline, so it was a great deal. By Request perks are not available with Priceline though.

The room is large, nicely appointed, but not luxurious. Beds were nice, they pay a lot of attention to the linens they use, so the beds look nice as well. There's a good-sized work desk with a fancy Aeron chair and a sitting area with a couch. The bathroom was standard.

High-speed internet (wireless or wired) is $10 per calendar day, NOT per 24 hour period. This is annoying because if you check in at 6pm and pay $10 to use high speed internet, your connection will expire at midnight, and then you'll have to pay another $10 to continue using it. However, if you wait until 8pm, they'll give you that 4 hour period as a courtesy, and your $10 will give you until midnight the following night. Internet is free with By Request.

Also, there is a $8 fee to use the exercise facility because it's a privately owned gym. It's a decent gym with racquetball courts, weight machines, cardio machines.

It is about 10 miles from the airport and probably 30 minutes from downtown, but if you have business in the area, it's a nice pick, especially if you get a good rate on Priceline.

Not sure if the prevsious review is meant for the Glenview Wyndham?

We stayed at the Glenview Wyndham suites (previously was Doubletree Suites) for 5 nights @ the rate of $55/night fr. Hotwire (1/2 of the lowest non-refundable internet rate). We were very happy w/ our stay. I think Hotwire is in the process of nominating this hotel to "Customer's Favorite".

We had the suites on the 6th floor, in good location, short distance to the elevator but not right by the elevator. The highest floor (7th ) was under renovation but we did not hear the noise until our last morning fr. the LR.

What we liked:

1. The beautiful atrium in the center. 80% of the rooms open the doors to the atrium.

2. Friendly & prompt service.

3. Complimentary shuttle within 5 miles.

4. Complimentary wireless internet access, apples, newspaper.

5. Nice warm indoor pool.

6. Refrigerator & microwave ( was so useful for our little boy's food).

7. Good location for our stay; there are plenty of good restaurants within 15' drive: Pita Inn, Cafe Lucci, Johny's Kitchen & Tap, Walker Bros, Tuscany, etc. Trader Joe's, Costco, and the Glen are 10' drive.

What we did not like were:

1. The loud AC,

and

2. The old jacquard comforter; down/feather pillows & bed are comfortable enough but as not impeccable as those of the Sheraton. %>)
