I used Hotwire for the following: 4* Glasgow (City Center) 6/26/10 - 6/27/10

The hotel was Crowne Plaza Glasgow

(included internet, fitness center, spa)

Rate was $133 + 37.81 (taxes) for total of 170.81

These were the amenity icons:

Fitness Center

Pool

Restaurants

High Speed Internet Access

Spa Services

Please also note that I queried HOTWIRE for 2 guests staying at the room, so I received 2 twin beds.

Since I just came back from Glasgow, here's a mini-review. I'm a Priority Club member, but not Gold/Platinum, so I requested late checkout, which should be standard for Priority Club. I was only very grudgingly given checkout at 2pm. (The standard is noon.) Also, I ended up not needing the 2nd bed, and I asked if I can change to a room with a double or queen bed. The hotel refused and said that they were completely booked (which I doubt), so I ended up with the twins. Similarly, I requested a room upgrade and was refused. I was placed in a room right beside the elevator, which was unfortunate. On the good side, I did receive a room on the 14th floor with a decent view. The hotel is not really in City Center. It's one rail stop away from the Central Rail Station, and you should take the Exhibition stop to get there. If you take the taxi from the rail station which I did when I arrived, it will cost roughly 5 pounds. The hotel is right beside the conference center, so if you are attending a conference there, it is perfect. If you want to explore the city, it's okay, but not in as good a location as the Marriott. I didn't really check out the amenities. Internet does cost money, and you can get wireless or wired. Wireless access did seem cheaper if I remember correctly (I believe around 5 pounds for 1 hr). They don't really have a business center, but the concierage was helpful, and printed out my airplane boarding pass for me. If you brought a laptop, I actually recommend not getting internet at the hotel, but instead take your laptop into the city. For example, I had breakfast at a restaurant beside the Central Rail station, which offered free wireless access. Therefore, you can get breakfast for 2 pounds and have unlimited wireless access included.
