Priceline Hotel: 5* Singapore (Orchard Road) Marriott

Just booked 2 rooms at the Singapore Marriott for 2 nights, checking in 1 November and checking out 3 November. Initially hoped to get the Hilton by starting at $75, but no bids were accepted up to $95. I then looked more closely at previous Singapore results on this board and realised that most of the successful Hilton bids in the $75-$95 range were for weekend stays (not weekdays).

I saw that the Marriott was accepting bids for weekday stays in the $120 to $140 range.

So I then started bidding at $120. Got a counteroffer for $140. Rejected it and signed off.

Added a zone, and next bid was at $125. Got a counteroffer for $145. Rejected it and signed off.

Added a zone, and next bid was at $128. Got a counteroffer for $148. Rejected it and signed off.

Added a zone, and next bid was at $130. Was accepted.

Subtotal: US$520.00

Taxes & Fees: US$106.04

Total Charges: US$626.04

I checked other hotel sites to compare the final price, and the lowest I could find for this stay was US$215, so am happy with the result.
