dahl Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 The Mellenium Knickerbocker is an old grand hotel that has just been remodeled. The rooms feature King Sized beds and are very nicely decorated. There is a 42 " flat panel TV, desk, full wall curtain and the bathrroms are done in tile and marble. They feature a rain shower (big enough for two) but no bathtub. The staff is friendly accomodating and friendly. The location is right in the heart of the Magnificent mile river north area. Steet parking is practicvally non existent so plan on paying $35 per night if you have a car. There is great upscale shopping and a wide choice of dining in this area from coffee shop to white table cloth restaurants. Its a very safe area to stay in.We would agree with Price.lines 4 star rating as its a very nice hotel to saty at. You probably won't get the low rate that we received when we won it in February but its still nice lodging at even $150 per evening.

dahl Posted July 3, 2010 Author Report Posted July 3, 2010 The winning bid was $100 per night via PRICELINE. We stayed there for four nights 6/10-6/14 It was a very good price for such a quality hotel in a great area of Chicago. After our experience lodging there, we believe that the Hotel is honestly rated at 4 stars. BTW, I could not get the pictures to load in the Hotel Photos section.BTW, we should consider adding this post to the photos and review section.
