fj123 Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 4* Chicago (Millennium Park-Loop-Grant Park) Swissotel $95 ... 7/10/10-7/11/10Started at $80 then took the offer to raise by $15 to $95. Looks like a pretty exciting hotel - I'll report back after the stay.Of course, I used this site's PRICELINE link and I'll be using the HOTWIRE link in the future. Thanks!

fj123 Posted July 12, 2010 Author Report Posted July 12, 2010 Our stay at the Swissotel was lovely. I called a few days before and was told that we were registered for a standard king room, but when we arrived, we were told only standard doubles were still available. After some deliberating we agreed to pay $35 for an upgrade to a lake view king - great views. The upgrade included a free pass to the fitness center/pool on the 42nd floor, which we were planning to buy on its own for $15, so not such a bad deal overall. There were some serious slowness problems with the elevators, but the person I talked to said the system is new, so maybe they'll be able to fix it soon.
AaronJB Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Glad to hear you had a pleasant stay - hope you had an enjoyable time in the city.
