shaysashark Posted June 22, 2010 Author Report Posted June 22, 2010 I know I got a great deal and reviews seem pretty good for this hotel. However, upon visiting the Sheraton site --- it's actually pretty far from Disney. The shuttle is NOT free and parking is about $12.00/day. We're going for 3 days. A shuttle for 3 days for 8 people ... an added $100 not to mention the additonal $36 for parking. AlsoOn hotwire, I guess I missed the fine print and you can't pick your room type (i.e. King or 2 queens) and now I'm stuck with 2 rooms with 2 kings and 8 people. I called the Sheraton directly and they said there was nothing they can do and IF there are queens available when we arrive they will try to accomodate us. I asked "dont you have queens now? Your site says you do" They said "because you booked off Hotwire, there is nothing we can do".So now I'm stuck with not enough beds for everyone and outrageous parking and shuttle fees. Not a deal at all. I'm pretty bummed. :)
AaronJB Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 How many did you search for when you initially purchased? If you searched for 8 people/2 rooms, I'd call HOTWIRE and see if they can do anything regarding more than one bed per room. You cannot specify exact bedding via HOTWIRE or PRICELINE. However, from HOTWIRE: "All rooms booked on Hotwire will accommodate the appropriate number of guests in each room, based on the total number of guests you provided and the number of rooms you requested." That can mean 2 beds or 1 + sofabed, but if you searched for 4 per room, HOTWIRE will hopefully be able to work with you regarding bedding. Please let us know what happens if you do contact HOTWIRE.
