I don't know if this is helpful to anyone, but I'm bidding 4-stars, San Francisco, June 30th, one night. Trying to get Union Square West.

Bid 4*, Union Square West, $70. Rejected.

Added an area, bid $75. Rejected.

Added an area, bid $80. Rejected.

Added an area, bid $85. Rejected.

Added an area, bid $90. Rejected.

Added an area, bid $95. Rejected.

Gave up. Of course, I'm adding areas without 4* hotels.

Expedia has the Hilton (4* USW) for $106.

Travelocity Top Secret Hotels has what appears to be the Clift (4* USW) for $103.50.

I already have the Serrano for $99 a night, but I'm concerned that there are renovations going on at the hotel. The Serrano for $99 was a price they matched a few months ago when I found that price on Expedia.

Seems like a very good price for that hotel. Yes, I did go through the PRICELINE link.
