I've been attempting to secure a couple of rooms in the MTE or MTW area that are 4 star from 6-27 till 6-30. Having used BB.com many times, I'm not having much luck this time and wondering what is up. Over a few days, I've worked up from $115 to $255 using all the rebid zones and the rejections keep on coming! I thought New Yorkers left in droves for the summer hollidays (like July 4), but apparently not. Anyone know what is going on or how high prices are likely to go? Thanks.

Thanks Aaron. This just adds to the curiousity/frustration I've got. Since my last bid included MTW, and MTE, and was for $255, why in the world wouldn't at least one of these that is advertising at a lower rate have come through? Hmmm.

Happy to help. :)

I don't believe the Iroquois has ever been reported to the board as a PRICELINE win, nor has the newer Ace. The Ace, which is further South, would also fall within a different zone (it would appear to be just within the ESB zone.) These two properties may not participate with PRICELINE in terms of bidding.

Thank you for using the site's PRICELINE, HOTWIRE or Orbitz.com links to start your purchases and searches.

I'm not really sure what happened, but I was never able to land a 4* MTE or MTW hotel on priceline...something I've done several times before. I took the bidding all the way up to $315 a night and was rejected. I ended up booking directly with a hotel on their web page as they had a special going. The hotel was the Affinia Dumont.
