Priceline Hotel: San Juan hotel

I have bid on a 3 star hotel in San Juan PR. Priceline did not accept my bid. Tells me to change date or stars which I understand. However when I go to do that even though I only bid on a 3 start property priceline also checks off 3 1/2 and 4 star properties. My only option is to check 2 or 2 1/2 properties, which I dont want to do. Any suggestions??

The star rating you select when you bid is the minimum you are willing to accept... PRICELINE also checks higher rated hotels to see if your bid is enough to be upgraded to a higher rated property.
