brandonh Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 I'm looking at booking a hotel via HOTWIRE.Date: Aug 23-295* North Strip HotelAmenities: Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Hi Speed Internet, Golf, Tennis, SpaSo looking at the Hotwire hotel list here, it's either the Palazzo or Venetian right? The one thing throwing me off though is the resort fee is $20 daily. Palazzo and Venetian have $17 resort fees. The Wynn has a $20 resort fee, could it be the Wynn? What hotels would this most likely be?Thanks!
AaronJB Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)The listing notes a resort fee of "about" $20 per night, which keeps it more opaque. My guess would be the Palazzo or Venetian. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
brandonh Posted June 18, 2010 Author Report Posted June 18, 2010 Hmm I wouldn't mind Palazzo or Venetian. They seem to be pretty good. I was looking at the South Strip option, but I don't want to get Vdara. I'd love to get Aria though and wouldn't mind theHotel (on PRICELINE). Any suggestions on how to get these hotels? I guess it's pretty much just a waiting game for hotels with those specs to show up. It sucks for me that Vdara is classified in the same area as Aria on HOTWIRE and theHotel on PRICELINE. I like the South Strip area more than North.

You can't bid/avoid a specific hotel when using PRICELINE. You need to be willing to stay at any ?* or higher in the zone you're bidding at.Use this link for Hotwire Las Vegas HotelsPlease use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
brandonh Posted June 18, 2010 Author Report Posted June 18, 2010 I've been watching both HOTWIRE and PRICELINE daily. For Priceline, I've been sticking to 5 star hotels in North strip, so at least I'd be looking at getting Wynn, Palazzo or Venetian. While not my top choices, they all sound to be really good hotels (I just prefer the South location a bit more). I've been low balling at $95 each bid, so at least if I win and am in the North area, the price would have been really good. For HOTWIRE, I'm hoping a 5 star in the south comes up with Aria-like specs that don't match Vdara.Right now my last resort is going to be to just buy the Palazzo/Venetian option on HOTWIRE for $114 (as I'd rather get one of those than Wynn/Encore).Is theHotel the only 5 star that's listed for PRICELINE in South strip? Aria and Vdara haven't been reported on Priceline yet as far as I can see.

Aria and Vdara have not yet been reported but i wouldn't be suprised if we saw them soon.Yellowdog.
