iwillfearnoevil Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 After bidding for multiple days got W New York Hotel (541 Lexington Avenue) on my first bid tonight at $135/night (which included $10 bonus dollars so really paying $125/night). Unfortunately it was my first bid, i had been starting at $130 ($120+10) last few nights with no luck so definately start lower. I noticed prices coming down slightly in general in the past week.
AaronJB Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 Congratulations on your success and Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Nice deal for this W property (which was the first one, and was renovated not that long ago) for the holiday period.Thank you for sharing your result with the board and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
mattrob Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 Nice job. Just tried up to $ 140 (although for period 7/3 - 7/6), but no luck ... Hopefully I can get a deal like you soon !
ggm Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 Just curious what this "bonus" you are talking about. Looking at the same time, same area, with no luck yet (although you can tell the prices are coming down) but I have been trying to keep my bids around the $120 mark. Just curious how the bonus can help me outthnaks
