Bidding higher to get the better hotel

I am trying to bid on a 4* hotel for Rome Italy.

The most recent won bids are:

Una Hotel Roma for $155

Atlante Garden Hotel $142

Bettoja Massimo DAzeglio $128

I really want to end up with the Una Hotel Roma, now my question is, if I bid a higher amount, do I have a better chance of receiving that hotel, or is completely random and I might end up overbidding on one of the cheaper ones? Thanks for your help

moonerhoney,

See this thread for an indepth discussion on this subject: Don't Bid Higher For a Specific Hotel

You may also want to consider HOTWIRE, where you may not see one of the hotels above offered, but perhaps there will be something offered for your dates which is identifiable and/or show a Tripadvisor rating which can give you confidence in your purchase.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your future purchases/searches.
