Hotwire Hotel: 4* Chicago (Airport O'Hare ORD North) Westin OHare

Hi everybody :) I am planning to be in the city in two weeks and I am looking for a hotel with a pool, if it is outdoors much better. I found this one in hotwire for $72 per night for 2 adults. The amenities are: Shuttle, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business and golf plus bed choice. I think it is the WESTIN O'HARE.The hotel has a pool but it is indoor :) btw I will be flying so the closer to the airport the better. It says the hotel is 1.8 miles from the airport so it can't be the Hilton. It shows as a 4 start hotel in Hotwire. Any ideas if it is the Westin? Thanks!

I was looking to stay at the Marriot Ohare. I know they have a nice outdoor pool. I was looking for the hotel in Hotwire, which is what I am going to use when I get the room. I also like this hotel because it has a shuttle to the airport. I think this is a 3 star hotel. I would like to spend less than $100 per day. Thanks :)

I was researching and I am pretty sure the O'hare intl Airport North Area hotel is the Westin however it doesnt have an outdoor pool. It must have a shuttle too. I was looking at the Ohare Marriot but too expensive unless I didn't see it in Hotwire as one of the hidden hotels. Any ideas? travelling June 29th to July 1st...just a couple weeks from today. 2 adults. Thanks so much :)

I don't see anything offered in the OHare area, 3.5* rated or higher, with an outdoor pool. I would think that many hotels in this area don't have outdoor pools due to the limited number of months which they can be used, and probably cheaper to build inside (due to real estate costs) where you can still build on top of them... rather than take up a 'footprint' for just a pool (which can only be used for a few months of year)

You are very right. Outdoor pools are costly and not really that worth around the midwest due to the weather.

Do you think the 4 star hotel north of Ohare Int Airport is the Westin?. I was looking at the HOTWIRE hotel list and there were only two posibilities, the other one is the Hilton Ohare but that one is just in the airport where the Westin is a little further. The HOTWIRE site shows that the hotel is 1.8 miles from the airport. What do you think?

See the comments at the top of the Hotel List as the lists are only hotels reproted to the board... there could always be others.

The HOTWIRE site shows that the hotel is 1.8 miles from the airport.

The mileage is from the center of the zone to the landmark (the airport in this instance)... not the distance to the actual property being offered.

Yes there is a not smoking sign as well as a bed choice. What do you think?
