detstlouis
i just posted my winning bid for 2.5* downtown holiday inn superdome from 6/19 to 6/22.I would prefer a hotel in the French Quarter. The original reservation was only for Downtown, but then we had a change of heart. So I called priceline and they said they would be willing to give me a "one time exception" with a $25 cancellation fee. So essentially, I would like to rebid with $61 in the french quarter but I'm not willing to go lower than 2.5 stars. I would like to rebid starting with a 3* for $61 to try my luck and then go down to 2.5* if i don't win.Is this a feasible option less than one week away from the trip? I am really debating whether to just keep my hotel or just bite the bullet and try my luck with a new bid in the french quarter. Link to comment
thereuare
Only you can determine if the additional cost is worth the different, and hopefully more convenient, location for this trip.If you want to give it a try, at the 3* level you have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)Select 3* French Quarter...Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $50, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 3* French Quarter and re-bid zone2...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $61Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
