Matt E Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 Hi Everyone!I am new to PRICELINE and to the forum. I saw that there was a recent winning bid for $60 for a 3* in Myrtle Beach North so I've tried for 2 days in MB North, Central and South with the $60 bid and a $65 bid with no luck. Any advice? Thanks,Matt
Gallus50 Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 Matt - July is high season in Myrtle Beach and all along the SC/NC coast. Getting a $60 bid accepted will be tough at a 3* or higher level. I would investigate prices and ask for a bidding strategy. Alternatively, check out HOTWIRE, TravelZoo, HW's TravelTicker or BookIt.com. They have some decent deals right now, but you won't get $60 a night, I would think. Would love to hear if you prove me wrong...

Gallus50 Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Matt - Glad you stayed with it and you're happy. While Little River is not, technically, "the beach", as we call any and every beach destination in the Carolinas, it is certainly close ...
