I would have been happy at any of the 4* hotels in Jersey City :) My Mom I are heading up to Manhattan to see what's on the TKTS board on Saturday morning.

Bid $50 for 4* in Jersey City, rejected.

Added rebid zone (Elizabeth), bid $60, rejected.

Added rebid zone (Meadowlands), bid $70, rejected.

Added rebid zone (Newark Airport), bid $80, accepted.

I was also given the option to extend my stay.

Remember there is also a TKTS booth at South Street Seaport which has the same availability, and is often less crowded, then the Times Square location? (although the line can still often look quite long, it goes somewhat quickly... i refrained from staying 'fast')... also, some shows are cash only.
