autumnmist Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Did a search through this forum's HOTWIRE link and getting quoted $89/night for a 3* hotel in the Pike Place area.Amenities listed: non-smoking, fitness, restaurant, high-speed internetHotwire claims that it's rated 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor. From the Hotwire hotel list on this board, it seems like this must be the Mayflower Park. I've never bid on a hotel before (just rental cars) so I want to have someone else confirm... Priceline told me I can get a 4* hotel for the same dates, Pike Place area for $114 and perhaps a little bit lower. Not sure if I should just pay the extra $20 per night to get a 4* through Priceline instead? Main priorities are cleanliness (of bathroom and sheets and carpet especially) followed by comfort. Thanks!!
yellowdog Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding :) Best guess for this hotel would be Mayflower Park.Sure you can go with PRICELINE and try to save some money and get an unknown hotel for your stay. You need to decide if money or the "known" factor is the most important for you. You need to be willing to stay at any 4* or higher in the zone you're bidding at.Thanx for using boards HOTWIRE link :) Let us know how we can help you further.Yellowdog.PS. Please follow-up this thread with whatever you ended up doing for the stay (even if you chose to book direct, cancelled your stay, etc)
autumnmist Posted June 7, 2010 Author Report Posted June 7, 2010 Yup, it was Mayflower Park. Booked for the dates I mentioned of $86/night (when I went to book this morning, the price had gone down $3).Thanks for the info!
