I've never stayed here, but by the reviews of small but nice rooms, it sounds a bit like the Hilton Netherland Plaza in Cincinnati (a charming, well-kept hotel in a historic building as well) so I'm looking forward to it. Would have preferred the Hyatt Regency, but I'm in the heart of Chi-town, so I think my PL gamble will turn out just fine :)

Excellent deal for this historic property! The Palmer lobby (which can be seen in a picture in this Wikipedia page for the hotel) is particularly magnificent. This hotel is also nearby a few different CTA stations, as well as a short distance from the Art Institute and Millennium Park.
