Priceline Hotel: 2* Minneapolis-St Paul (Burnsville) LivInn Suites

Bid $20 for 2* in Burnsville and got the LivInn just like I'd hoped based on the info from this awesome site.

$40 (2 rooms)

$12.48 taxes and fees

$52.48 total

I called the LivInn and requested non-smoking rooms. They said they didn't have any rooms left! They called back and said when my 2 traveling fishermen get there they will give them a "walk letter" to go to the Prime Rate motel which is very close. I called the Prime Rate and they knew about the arrangement and had non-smoking rooms. This is a new one on me! I hope it works out ok.

Did they offer any benefit given that they were overbooked and had to walk guests? Generally, hotels do offer some sort of compensation/credit for "walking" guests, such as the first night free or something else. If not, I'd definitely suggest writing PRICELINE to let them know that the guests on this reservation had to be walked to another property because the original property was full. If you do, please let us know the result.

Wow! Thanks for responding! I contacted PRICELINE after your suggestion and they're refunding the entire cost. I have $52.48 in my pocket thanks to you! My fishermen said the LivINN had to walk about 15 people.
