snova031 Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 Hey all...planning me and my fiancee's anniversary trip to Boston...been several times, we've previously stayed in Lowell and Chelmsford, however this time I wanted something a little closer to the city. Found this Courtyard, which had good reviews, and the big seller, free on-site parking.Started bidding on 6/1 at $60/night (had the $50 off coupon that was emailed to me a couple of weeks ago, so bidding was at $50/night + $10 off/night coupon), got declined. Tried on 6/2 for $65, denied, and again tonight for $70/night and denied. Then, added Fenway as they only have 1*, and upped bid to $75/night and got accepted! Only paying $65/night w/ coupon, worked out well!

callyhuh Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 Hey! Good job-I just got back from there and got the same winning priceline bid as you (75$). Hotel and service couldn't have better. The hotel gives you written instructions to the T train a short jaunt away. You are 2 stops from downtown. Free good coffee and newspaper but no free breakfast(12$ buffet which was completely empty). The T-train is right behind a Dunkin Donuts which can quench your morning breakfast desires. I did not feel it was a bad neighborhood as other reviews hinted. It is in a residential Polish area and walking at night is dark and quiet(which is admittably a little daunting) but it is only a couple blocks. There is a strip mall right out back as well which is nice and finally the FREE parking which sold me. Have fun I am sure you will be happy staying there. GO SOX!
snova031 Posted June 8, 2010 Author Report Posted June 8, 2010 Thanks for sharing your experience there, it looks like a good deal at a good place. As for the area, I had read that it's not the best neighborhood, but I'm sure it'll be just fine. Glad you enjoyed your stay
