Dphill Posted June 4, 2010 Author Report Posted June 4, 2010 Thanks for trying....Also...What's your opinion on the 3 star hotels that HOTWIRE offers usually? Are they usually pretty nice? Decent? Let me know what you can. Thanks!
thereuare Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 Hard to say as ratings are subjective and differ from property to property and area to area... unfortunately there is no universal rating system and a 3* hotel in one area may be 2.5* or 3.5* (or 4*) in another area. For example, in a city's downtown area i would try to stick with the higher rated hotels and avoid the lower rated hotels... in a suburban area the 3* properties are often quite nice and provide great value.I would use the HOTWIRE star ratings as a rough guide, but then use the tripadvisor user review ratings, if shown, as a confirming factor in your decision... not rely on the HOTWIRE star rating alone. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
