westcoastbidder Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 Started with 4* in Beverly Hills - West Hollywood at $95, rejectedAdded Brentwood - Westwood, up'ed offer to $110, got accepted.Maybe I should up'ed it to $100 maybe. Given the short notice, I didn't want to take chance with re-bid tomorrow. Anyway, I am happy because this still looks like a good deal compared to HotWire which had 4* for $168, and of course the rate is much higher $269 on Hyatt website. What do you guys think? Any advise to help improve the bidding are welcome.
thereuare Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 Congratulations on your success! You didn't say if $95 was your first bid or not, but if it was, you had THREE re-bid zones available to try to gradually increase your bids to the $110 mark (ie - $100, $105, $110 using one re-bid zones each time). If you're not familiar with re-bidding see this thread, Priceline Re-Bidding Explained. If you didn't have re-bid zones available, or even if you did, i think the $110/nite is a great deal... in my book anytime you can save more than 50% it's a great deal, and when i can save ~$100, i tend not to get too concerned whether it's $95 or $105 :)Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
