Priceline Hotel: 4* NYC (Downtown-Soho-Financial District) Gild Hall

I just got Gild Hall in the Wall St. area for $166/night for two nights (weekend of June 26-28). The winning bid was actually $176 with the $10/night Bonus Cash that Priceline sent me.

I stayed at Gild Hall in February using a very inexpensive last-minute weekend fare from Tablet Hotels ($109/night), but prices seem to have gone up since then so I'm happy with this price. The hotel was great (service was fantastic - they even let me check in early, around noon), so I'm looking forward to this repeat visit. That was one of the reasons I wanted to stay in the Downtown/Soho/Financial District again, so I opened with a $146 bid (+$10 Bonus Cash), then re-bid (adding Brooklyn) for $156, and then re-bid (adding Coney Island) for $166, which was accepted!

I last got a Priceline hotel in NYC exactly two years ago from today at the Tribeca Grand for $195 over a weekend in July, 2008. That too was a Downtown/Soho/Financial District bid. Staying downtown is really great if you've been to NYC before and don't need to be right in the center of everything - Gild Hall is just one block from the 2/3 subway line that takes you to Times Square or anywhere else you want to go.
