useref15 Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 I am going to use priceline and name my own price. I really want to stay at the Graves 601 Whyndham....How much money do you reccommend me going to? I will spend $120 with taxes included.I will be staying June 28-July 2nd. I just don't really want to stay at the Hyatt because I've seen alot of negative reviews. Thanks.
thereuare Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! With PRICELINE there is no way to target, or avoid, a specific property... you must be willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) that you choose. As well, enter "Downtown Minneapolis" (without the quotes) into the QUICK SEARCH box in the blue banner at the top of the board, and scanning the results you can see that the Hyatt is one of the more frequently won properties in this zone... are you willing to accept the possibility that this would be the hotel you receive? What i believe to be the Hotel Ivy is available for $129/nite if you're willing to go a little higher than your stated budget and this property is of any interest to you.If you want to move forward with PRICELINE let us know your maximum bid amount (before taxes and fees) and we'll suggest a strategy to for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
useref15 Posted June 2, 2010 Author Report Posted June 2, 2010 I don't mind the Hyatt at all, the thing is that I just REALLY wanted the Graves 601. How much $ do you recommend me bidding for the Hyatt? I don't want to bid too much like $100 and still be stuck with it...so I was thinking to bid around $65.
useref15 Posted June 2, 2010 Author Report Posted June 2, 2010 I bidded two times, and both times failed. First I bid $65 for a 4* in downtown. Once that was rejected, I did $90 for 4* in downtown. So, I said screw it.....I just booked a package with flight and four nights hotel at the Graves 601 Wyndham (the one I really wanted) for $546 per person. Very happy it worked out and I got the hotel I wanted. Thanks
