Priceline Hotel: how far in advance should a person try priceline??

Hi there going to vegas in november and wonder when a person should start trying to place bids on rooms in vegas ,looking at some of the rates people are getting for five start hotels , i feel it is worth a try ,could someone help me ??thank you

okay a little more specifics i am looking for four rooms - 2 people in each room

i am travelling november 12 to 15 to las vegas

i am looking for a 4 or 5 star on the strip (preffer north over south ) not to keen about ti's resort fees but if the price is right so be it

looking at the rates for what people are getting five star hotels for (80 to 115) ,this is totally worth a stab at this ,all i caqnn really be tpld is NO but whatever i also have a backup plan in place so whatever helps would be great !!!

Are you willing to pay more for a 5* vs. a 4* and/or willing to pay more to stay in the North Strip zone vs. South Strip zone?

HOTWIRE has what i believe to be the Vdara for $119/nite for your dates... would this work for your plans?
