Priceline Hotel: help - 3* TS, MTW, CPS 21-27 august

hi,

new to bidding and all, haven't been successful so far. the dates are not flexible and the areas as well (this is for my wife and my brother's wife :-) and that's what they want).

tried from 100$ to 128$ already and no luck. seems weird as i think i saw some prices in 159$ already.

Need a bidding strategy or some good advice...

basically they have to sleep so budget is flexible, since taxes are pretty high as i saw i would say 140$ is the top price, but will be happy to get something cheaper.

Given your previously rejected bids and $140 limit (i'm assuming this is bid amount) i would try as follows:

At the 3* level you have ONE re-bid zone available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 3* MTW...

Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINE

Select 3* CPS...

Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINE

Select 3* TS...

Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINE

Select 3* MTW and CPS...

I will add two additional comments... note that the CPS contains the Hudson hotel which has notoriously small rooms and most likely you'll be assigned a room with only one bed. I would confirm that they would be comfortable with this small room (and small bathroom) if including this zone. If the above is rejected i think including the MSG zone would improve your chances, so you might want to see if they would consider this zone as well.

Got up to 140$ no luck...

Than i browsed the forum some more and found this post Priceline NYC thread saying the guy took it in the same dates as i am looking for (a subset) in 142$ 4* hotel.

Got greedy and tried also only 4* up to 146$ using the re-bids no luck...

Now i think i forgot to mention the dates if it's possible that is the cause - 21-27 August (6 nights)...

I guess i'll drop back to 3* or 3* and go up in the prices, unless you guys have another suggestion.
