Hi folks, new to the site here and need some help:

NYC Check in Sep 3 for 3 nights (HOTWIRE):

1) 4* Mid-town Central hotel $204 (Fitness, Restaurant, Internet) - 75% Recommended

2) 4* Downtown_SOHO area $196 (Fitness, Restaurant, Business Center, Internet) - 85% Recommended

3) 4* Empire State Building area $199 (Fitness, Restaurant, Business Center, Internet) - 55% Recommended

4) 4* Central Park area $205 (Boutique Hotel, Restaurant, Business Center, Internet) - 65% Recommended

Best guess, and comments, for each:

1) Algonquin

2) Gild Hall or Soho Grand (although the Tripadvisor info shown by HOTWIRE doesn't match either of these... but the info by HOTWIRE is only updated approximately once a month, so the current TA rating may have changed since the last HOTWIRE update. But these amenities are common for a NYC hotel so it could also be a different hotel in the area as well)

3) nothing has been reported with this combination at the 4* level, but perhaps the Radisson Martinique upgraded from 3.5* to 4*??

4) please go back to HOTWIRE (using this link) and double check/confirm the amenities shown

Hi, sorry I mis-typed #4, should be 4* Central Park Area $205 (Boutique, Fitness, Business, Internet) 65% recommended.

Also, we are trying to fit 4 people in a room, any recommendation in NYC? Not sure which hotels have 2 double beds at good location and clean. Please advise.

Thanks,

I understand you need quad occupancy, but did you search HOTWIRE for 4adults when offered the properties above... searching HOTWIRE for your dates for 4adults/0children i'm not seeing any of the 4* properties previously listed in your first post.

Ah, I see what you mean ... sorry still trying to get a hang of this. Ok, I searched HOTWIRE for 4 people occupancy checking in Sep 3/2010 for 3 nights:

1) 4* Chelsea Madison Sq Garden $299 (Smoke-free, Fitness, Restaurant, Business, Internet, Spa) - no recommendation yet

2) 3* Midtown Central $255 (Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Internet) - 70% recommended

3) 3* Time Square Theatre $259 (Smoke-free, Restaurant, Business, Internet) - 80% recommended

4) 3* Chelsea Madison Sq Garden $259 (Fitness, Business, Internet) - 90% recommended

5) 3* Down SOHO $346 (Restaurant, Business, Internet) - 85% recommended

Hope I got everything this time.

Thanks,
