Priceline Hotel: 2*, < $80 NYC 6/4-6/6 advice?

Hi all

I"ve been looking to stay on Manhattan island for 2 nights, 6/4-6/6.

I've been trying to bid up to $80 around the area with no luck. Does anyone know if this price is even possible to get? Any advice on how to achieve it? thanks

$80 is sometimes possible during the most low-key months of the year in NYC (Jan/Feb), but rates at that level during the majority of the year are otherwise extremely difficult or impossible to obtain in NYC. Bidding at the 2* and under level in NYC is also a bit risky, as well as quality can become an issue. Which areas have you bid in so far, and is $80 your desired max budget?
