The Conrad Hong Kong is a 5* hotel located directly above the Pacific Place Mall on West Hong Kong Island. It is also adjacent to the main park on Hong Kong Island which offers lovely strolls in what is a safe & beautiful area. The hotel is exceptionally accessible from the MTR, as there is an access point in the mall from Admiralty Station. All rooms are located on the 41st Floor or higher, so the views are tremendous whether you're looking southward at The Peak or northerly over Victoria Harbour and Kowloon.

The service and amenities are fabulous, the pool has stunning views of downtown Hong Kong Island, the weight room is well-appointed with equipment. The business internet access area is small, but nice. The lobby was very serene, well-decorated and exueded a feel of luxury. The front desk staff were courteous and efficient, and did not judge me by my appearance (I was wearing shorts and a windbreaker with my backpack). There are several restaurants and bars to dine in, and like most 5* hotels in HKG, they're a bit pricey but the food is delicious!

The rooms in particular are amazing with almost 180 degree views because of the large, rounded panoramic windows. Internet access in each room, fresh fruit replenished throughout the day. The room was VERY large by HKG standards. A minibar with ludicrous prices (go figure) was included, but there was enough space inside for personal items that needed refrigeration throughout our stay. Large flat screen television. The bed linenes were fantastic, the mattress was great, and the evening turn-down service left slippers and bottles of water bedside for us. The bathrooms were fully marble, with double sinks, seperate tub and shower, and separte toilet. Imbedded ceiling speakers allowed one to continue listening to the tv or radio while in the restroom.

For transportation, the MTR is by far the quickest and most efficient means of travel. However, if you want something a little more rustic, trams are directly outside of the mall, and while noisy, clanky and slow, they are an unforgettable experience to partake in. Taxis are always waitng outside the lobby as well, but everything is so easily accesible by foot that one could easily walk to the Star Ferry Terminal and enjoy the most breathtaking 35 cents you'll ever spend by taking a ride across the harbour to Kowloon.

All in all, a great hotel that I would gladly stay at again in a heartbeat!
