cell Posted May 28, 2010 Author Report Posted May 28, 2010 Thanks, the amenities have airport shuttle, breakfast, fitness, pool and high spreed internetThis 2.5* EWR hotel looks like "Comfort Suites Newark", anyone please confirm it, and how about it. Can I get two queen beds room. thanksThanks for your help, we will visit Manhattan, any good deal on Manhattan island? We are three adults and one 5 years old girl.
thereuare Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 I would only stay out by Newark Airport if that is all your budget will allow... there's virtually nothing in the area and getting to Manhattan can be hassle (if via mass transit it's either expensive or long depending upon the method... or if driving you'll need to find a place to park your car, either in the city or near a PATH train)As well, it appears that you'll be doing 2-3 days of sightseeing before dropping your sister off at the airport... why focus your hotel stay near the airport in this scenario? What is your budget per nite for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. cell Posted May 30, 2010 Author Report Posted May 30, 2010 Thanks. I would be happy if I can control the budget under $100. I am driving, and since my sister is going to fly from EWR, so, it is OK for us living around EWR airport. So, going to Manhatton, we can take light train, right? How about going to liberty park, can we drive. Thanks a lot.
thereuare Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 So, going to Manhatton, we can take light train, right? There is a PATH train which leaves from Newark Penn Station (as well as a few other points east of Newark) but you will need to drive to the PATH train (note: Newark Penn Station is not a very nice area) and pay to park. How about going to liberty park, can we drive.Of course you can drive anyplace, so not sure what you're asking here, but i would also inquire what you intend to do at LSP... there really isn't too much to do as a 'park' here, and i wouldn't recommend using this as a stop unless you're using it to take the boat to the Statue of Liberty. Are you looking for one room for 5 people? PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, so there is a chance you could receive a room with only one bed. HOTWIRE allows you to search for up to quad occupancy and guarantees accommodations for everyone you include in your search. This usually means 2 beds, but could be one bid plus a pullout sofabed, rollaway, etc. There is no way to guarantee accommodations for five with only one room, and the hotel may also frown upon that many guests in one room (if you make them aware of it)Let us know how many rooms you're searching for and based upon the above how you would like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. cell Posted June 1, 2010 Author Report Posted June 1, 2010 Thanks, It is for four people, one is 5-years girl. Anyway, since Newark was not quite good, I think I will go to Jersey city area.
thereuare Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 One room for quad occupancy is do-able thru HOTWIRE as they allow you to search for up to 4 per room and guarantee sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search... PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy so you could get a room with only one bed and the hotel may be unable, or unwilling. to accommodate your request for a room with 2 beds. Note that the 'nice' part of Jersey City where you would want to stay is by the Waterfront... but the HOTWIRE zone covers more than just the waterfront area. If you search HOTWIRE for 3adults/1child does anything appear in the Jersey City zone within your budget and desired star rating? (we'll see if we can help take a guess as to the identify to determine if by the waterfront or not) If this area doesn't work out you may also want to consider the Secaucus area which would be an easy commute to the city via bus (not as nice or convenient as the Jersey City waterfront, but Secaucus often costs a bit less than Jersey City)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
