Our stay Thursday - Sunday at the Venetian was outstanding. There were only 4 parties in line when we checked in about 1:00 PM (took less than 5 minutes) on Thursday. I handed the gal my credit card/$20/drivers license sandwich and asked if there were any complimentary upgrades available with a view of the strip. She mentioned we were booked via Priceline and were set for two queens. She upgraded us to a King suite 33rd floor in the Venetian Tower close to the elevators. We had a great view of the strip south of the hotel including the Mirage Volcano and were very happy with the upgrade. The hotel was great and we were happy for the complimentary upgrade as we were not sure if the $20 trick would work after booking such an amazing price on priceline including a weekend.
