tynac Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 Hi,I want to do a Priceline hotel bid, but we are 3 people travelling, so I want to know....if I win a bid, and get only one bed in the room, what the probability is in New York, of me being able to get an extra bed in. Any advice? Thanks for your help!!Tyna
tynac Posted May 25, 2010 Author Report Posted May 25, 2010 Hi,I'm new to this forum and as I browse the different topics, I noticed that there is a great deal of knowledge about special offers, i.e. 3rd night free. Wanted to know if you know of any special offers valid 6/12 to 6/18? There are 3 of us travelling together.I would like to keep nightly budget to $250.Thanks for your help!Tyna
AaronJB Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)NYC is incredibly risky when it comes to using PRICELINE for two beds - rooms in NYC are very small and some hotels don't appear to have rooms with two beds. The service only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy, and the hotel can say no when two beds have been requested, or charge more. Searching for 3 people on HOTWIRE would ensure some form of bedding for your party, but searching for 3 on HOTWIRE (esp. in NYC) is often more expensive and the bedding could be 2 beds, 1 + sofabed or another combination.Which zones would you be interested in staying in, and is your budget of $250 "all-in" (including taxes/fees) or $250 + taxes/fees?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
tynac Posted May 25, 2010 Author Report Posted May 25, 2010 Thanks for your reply!$250 excluding taxes and such...areas: I am open to Midtown/Times square/Upper west side, West Village, Greenwich Village/Chelsea....Thanks for your help!!!
thereuare Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 I am open to Midtown/Times square/Upper west side, West Village, Greenwich Village/Chelsea....Please let us know the zones, by PRICELINE name, that you are willing to accept. Also, what is your desired star rating for this trip?As you didn't comment above, i assume you're comfortable with the risk of receiving a room with only one bed? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
