enderkai Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 Hey all, a little new to this.Hotel is 4*, south of ORD, $60 a night from 8/5-8/9. It's in the bottom right of ORD, south of 190, and north of Franklin Park. Thanks so much!
yellowdog Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding :) Please list the amenties HOTWIRE associates with the hotel you're looking at and we'll have a look at this. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
enderkai Posted May 20, 2010 Author Report Posted May 20, 2010 Alright, here is the link, not sure if it's viewable:<broken link removed>Amenities include full service restaurant, room service and fitness center access, which all seem very common. The two hotels listed on your map for the above area are candlewood suites and four points, which are 2* and 3* respectively. I wasn't sure if this area would include the Hilton, which falls outside of the highlighted area.
thereuare Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 I think you're confusing the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE services...HOTWIRE shows amenities associated with the hotel being offered, and you can sometimes use this information to take an educated guess as to the hotel you may received. PRICELINE doesn't show any amenities or any other information pertaining to the specific hotel you're bidding on, so there is no way to take a guess as to which hotel at a given star rating within the zone you'll likely receive... you need to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) that you choose. There are some parts of PRICELINE's website where they'll show amenities associated with a given star rating, but the amenities offered pertain to all hotels of that star quality... not a particular hotel.See this thread for more info: I've Never Used Priceline or HotwireFeel free to ask any question you have an let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll try to be of further help. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
enderkai Posted May 23, 2010 Author Report Posted May 23, 2010 Hey all,After a few mixups I finally found a room in Chicago for the dates I'm staying (through the HOTWIRE links at the top of the page) at the Intercontinental, as it's the only 4.5* hotel in ORD south. I'll be flying, not driving, so there shouldn't be a parking fee, and I'm aware of the wireless fee. Has anyone who booked this hotel through Hotwire know of any additional fees I should be aware of that aren't included in the price? Thanks!
AaronJB Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Just to confirm, did you purchase the Intercontinental? If so, it would be greatly appreciated if you could provide the amenity icons that were showing and the price (before taxes/fees.).. you can still view this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page. The only additional fees would be optional things like Internet. There are no resort fees at this hotel. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
