I just got an email from Hotwire advertising

I just searched in Hotwirefor that date and the 5 star came up as "provided by Hotels.com" for $250.01 and when I clicked on it, it is The Royal Hawaiian with tax total is $288.07.

Just to update you, I didn't book the Royal Hawaiian. Just wasn't ready to pull the trigger. I have a (cancellable) reservation at the Aston Waikiki Beach but will probably HOTWIRE something in the next couple of days and will let you know. Thanks.

My Priceline bid of $120 was accepted by the Marriott Wakiki Beach and Spa for a one night stay 6/30 - 7/1

First bid $105 - rejected (got a notice saying they'd accept a $125 bid if I wanted to rebid "right away")

Added a zone, bid $115 - rejected

Added a zone, bid $120 - accepted
