If you would like assistance with planning your purchase, please let us know your desired budget. One issue with bidding 3* in the Millennium Park-Loop-Grant Park area is that there are very few properties in this zone at the 3* level.

Are you only looking at the Loop zone, or would you also be in interested in River North/NMA?

Hey thanks for the information. $80 - $120 would be the preferable price and we are looking in the RiverNorth area. Actual dates are July 12 - 16.

Are you looking to go towards the top your budget for a more upscale property, or are you looking for the least expensive (in other words, just a place to sleep)?

Remarkably, this appears to be one of the cheaper weeks in downtown Chicago, as there is a 4.5* in the Mag Mile/Streeterville zone on HOTWIRE for these dates for $109 w/Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Spa - which would be a likely match for the well-reviewed boutique, The James. This would be a very easy walk to the River North area if you would like to be near River North.

You could also bid for a 4* in the River North/NMA area on PRICELINE, although you could wind up a bit of a trek from River North if you get a hotel at the North end of the zone (and you would have to be willing to accept any of the participating 4*'s in the zone if bidding.)

Rates are low enough for these dates that I would say a $70 bid for a 4* in the River North/NMA area is worth trying (while it may be too low, it's worth trying.)
