lls138
I won a last minute bid...place on 2/16/05 for 2/18-2/20 in D.C.I may have overpaid by $5-10 but it was my last chance for an area walkable to the mall. I bid like this:$50 for 4* White House...deniedHad 1 free rebids to $60...deniedAdded 3* for $55...deniedAdded Convention Center-Captiol Hill for 4* at $60...deniedAdded CC-CH 3* at $55 and won. I truly only wanted these two locations so I knew I may have overbid but who knows at the last minute for a holiday weekend.Just returned from D.C. and the hotel is an absolute steal for $55. This hotel is the best of 3 stars I have seen and could pass for a borderline four star hotel. Lots of amenities and a great fitness center. Wonderful chinatown location and only 10 minute walk to the Archives and Smithsonian Museums. Have happy bidding. Link to comment
thereuare
Thanks for sharing your win with the board.A $5-$10 overbid is still better than traditional rates... sometimes overpaying just a bit is worthwhile when the risk of being unsuccessful would result in much high rates.Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay.
