First bid was $52. PRICELINE came back and asked me to increase $10.00.

This is the hotel I was looking for and HOTWIRE was offering it for $199.

Of course I used the Betterbidding site PRICELINE link :)

Glad to see you got a good deal on the hotel you wanted. A useful strategy that has been presented on this forum for counter-offers from Priceline is to re-bid approximately half-way between your original bid and the counter-offer. You could also re-bid a little less than the half-way point and move up toward that point on successive rebids -- this depends on both the number of free rebids you have and the amount of time you have to work it.
