Hotwire Hotel: 3* Harrisburg (Central) Four Points

Coming up with a 2*:

- complimentary breakfast

- fitness center

- high speed internet

"Hershey area" for Aug 13 & 14 (checking out on 15th).

Doesn't seem to match the ones on the Sticky hotel list. Any ideas on which hotel this might be - I'm more concerned about how far it is from Hershey Park.

Thx for your fab site - I used your HOTWIRE link for my search. I've only used PRICELINE before but a search there didn't yield much so I checked out HOTWIRE just to see. Prices are crazy during the summer and this looks great.

Any input much appreciated!

This property has not yet been reported to the board, but i would issue a word of caution... 2* is HOTWIRE's lowest star rating (they don't use 1* in their rating system) and this property has a low percentage of recommendations by previous HOTWIRE customers (ie- 50%)

If i were to take a guess i think the Howard Johnson Inn would be among the possible candidates, but there are likely others as well (Super 8, Travelodge, Mainstay Suites, etc).

I would sooner look toward the Hershey Central zone for alternative offerings and you might find some better value.

Thx a mint for the info! I did not know 2* was the lowest category. I used your link to book a 3* in Central as suggested - got a fab deal. :) Will post details in new thread.

Originally was looking at staying closer to Hershey Park, and offer showed a 2* for $76/nte. After getting a great reply from "thereuare" to my question on this board, I decided the 2* (lowest category) was too risky.

This winning bid is an amazing deal for a weekend mid-summer; free continental breakie, parking and wi-fi make this awesome! Only 10 to 15 mins from Hershey Park - we're paying less and staying at a much nicer place than the 2* and it's only 5 more minutes of driving. I can't even stay 1 nite at a skeevy place near HP for this price! :)

I was hoping for the Four Points (free breakie and IIRC one of the other ones looked like it charged for parking) - the tip off for me that it would likely be 4P was was the smoke-free rooms as this hotel advertises as being totally smoke-free now.
