LAX 10-day rental August - unsuccessful

Started bidding on a car rental from LAX for a 10-day period from Aug 6-15. Started at $15/day for full-size (knowing this would be turned down of course but had plenty of time to try some low-ball offers) and then changed the car type to rebid at the same price - so $15/day for full-size, then standard, mid-size and compact (we're only 2 people so didn't care much about size of the car).

I did this for several days raising my bid $1/day until I was bidding $24 a day without a winning bid.

I ended up finding a reservation on Expedia for a compact for an average of $23/day so I have booked that.

Just thought I would detail it here for others.

Btw - of course I used this site to get to PRICELINE every time I bid!!!
