Trishs Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 Hi,It's been a year since I did this. So I just want to make sure I'm doing it correctly before I bid.I am going to bid on PricelineFort Lauderdale (Downtown) Zone 2Jan 1st-2nd 20114 rooms (2 people per room and one room with a baby)Im looking for range of about $100 per roomThe hotels on your list for this area are the Hilton Marina and the Renaissance.Does this sound correct if I bid for this area I will get one of the two listed above? Also If I decide to drop to a 3* level i'll get one of the hotels listed in the Priceline Hotel List?
yellowdog Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 The hotels you see on the boards list is the hotels we have reported. But there could be others. You don't bid on specific hotels when using PRICELINE. You need to be willing to stay at any 3*/4* or higher in the zone you're bidding at. Hotel ratings and zones can change at anytime.I would like to add that i think you're in for a hard battle with your budgett. I would advice you to look at other zones to increase your chance to get any hotel for your date. Let us know how we can help you further. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
Trishs Posted May 18, 2010 Author Report Posted May 18, 2010 I wasn't asking for a specific hotel. I was just checking on the list
thereuare Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Are you willing to lock in a non-refundable reservation this far ahead of your stay?If so, are you willing to pay more for a higher rated hotel OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Trishs Posted May 18, 2010 Author Report Posted May 18, 2010 Hi,Thanks for your reply. Before posting, I had started the bidding process and was adding other zones, but wanted to make sure I had the correct list for what I was doing. when I read the reply to my post reply stating the 4* and 3* would be a hard battle to get in the range of $100 that in this zone for my date, i decided to try another option I had found, I was able to fine a rate in Sheraton on the beach through another source not priceline or hotwire.I was willing to pay more and I was willing to go to the 3* I had posted that but for some reason the rest of my post wasn't there. So thanks for you help and I'll try it again next time I need a room. You were very helpful last year and I had got a great rate. So keep up the good work. I'll always go to your link when I try. Thanks Trish
