Hotwire Hotel: 4.5* San Francisco (USE) InterContinental

Looking for assistance identifying a 4* hotel Gaslamp Quarter - Convention Center area Hotel for 5/27-5/29. $109/nt

I have managed to figure out most of the results in the Hotwire search, but this one is stumping me because I can't see any hotel on the list that matches.

The amenities are:

Fitness Center

Restaurant

High Speed Internet Access

Recommended in 90% of customer reviews

100+ total reviews

Overall Satisfaction 5.0

No TripAdvisor green circles are shown on the details page at Hotwire.

Any ideas?

I thought I had them all figured out, but now I'm confused again....

This is a 4 1/2 (4.5) hotwire star rated hotel.

$99/night

75% recommend the hotel

Overall Satisfaction 4.5

500+ total reviews (!!)

The Se and Andaz each has FAR fewer than 500 reviews on TripAdvisor.

Any ideas? It's the 500+ reviews that is throwing me off on this one.

Thanks very much; I definitely would have posted earlier had I had something to add. I also want to be clear that I understand how important it is to use the HOTWIRE links.

I think I have also discovered that the number of reviews that HOTWIRE posts is not necessarily related to the number of reviews on TripAdvisor....but is the % of people who would recommend related to TripAdvisor?

Also, I seem to no longer be seeing the TripAdvisor star (green circle) ratings on the HOTWIRE listings...are those now gone??

I can't get the same hotel to appear on my search (2 adults). How many adults/children did you search for? Can you please run a new search and confirm that you still can see this hotel on your search.

The TA rating is not fixed on HOTWIRE. They come an go so you will not allways see them.

Yes, searching 2 adults. The 4*, 90%, 100+ reviews seems to have been replaced with this one:

I'm thinking this is the Westgate.

Still haven't pulled the trigger. Will post once we decide what to do. If you think I'm wrong about the Westgate, I'd be interested to know what you think the other options might be. It's the 4.5 tripadvisor green circles that I think is the tell-tale, plus the spa in downtown. not many hotels seem to have that feature.

USE ; expected the Intercontinental and got the Intercontinental.

It was less expensive for me to bid separately on two different days ($122 + $155 vs $145).

This rate really isnt all that great, because the IC website rate is $161, but I had bid up to $105 on PRICELINE for USE and got nothing (and $100 for USW and got nothing).

I clicked the HOTWIRE link.

(We had posted previously about a San Diego hotel, but decided to go to SF instead.)
