Any techniques I should follow to get best prices?
yellowdog Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding :) Is $110 you max for a 5* or can you stretch it to $125?Would a $96 5* South Strip be ok for you? HOTWIRE got what i belive is Aria Hotel and Casino. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
alair_2000 Posted May 16, 2010 Author Report Posted May 16, 2010 $125 is over my budget especially that I will be also paying resort and other hidden fees!! I was hoping to get the north strip for $86 - $94 like some of the lucky ppl here, but with no luck. This is why I am downgrading to 4* and my max bid for it will be $85. Which area is cleaner and newer? South or North strip?I don't know any hotels in the south strip. $96 is fine if the hotel and area is good. Which hotel is this? Thanks for your reply
thereuare Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 You can see the hotels which have previously been reported to the board in each zone in the Priceline Hotel List.I believe yellowdog is referring a 5* hotel on HOTWIRE which he believes is the Aria.. but if you run your own HOTWIRE search for these dates and post the amenities associated with the 5* hotel in this zone we'll take a look and give our thoughts regarding a possible ID.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. alair_2000 Posted November 15, 2010 Author Report Posted November 15, 2010 I ended up bidding up to $140 and finally got the Palazzo which is a very nice hotel. The problem is that this was actually higher than their price offered in their site by $1. :) So I let it go because it's only $1 difference
thereuare Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Thanks for the follow-up. Your post is a reminder of why it's necessary to check hotel direct rates before you bid to ensure that you don't overbid. Please remember to follow-up your threads with whatever you end up doing for the stay, even if you choose to book direct, cancel your trip, etc.Hope you enjoyed your stay.
