Initially my boyfriend attempted the bidding:

First bid of $65 rejected.

Re-bid $70... $75... $80... (added 3 other areas that didn't have 4*)

I signed in and my first bit was $85 then $90 then $95 then $99... No luck.

Tried again after 24 hours, started at $85 then $88 then $92.

Bid accepted at $99 for a 4* room (usually $237 if booked on hotel website).

Total price after fees&tax: $123.79
