Jesper Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 Rio has been discussed in this forum. "Sheraton Hotel & Resort" seems to be the only hotel in the list, so isn't a question of how much you bid before you get it, I mean nobody else would take your bid - or?And do PRICELINE negotiate with "all" hotels in the area or how do other hotesl "join in" NYOP?Thanks Jesper
yellowdog Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 Hejsan Denmark :) The Sheraton is the only reported hotel but there might be other players on the field. Rio is a big city and not so frequenly reported on the board so we don't have any history. And there is also 3.5* and 4* bidding so you can get an upgrade. So i would bid with an open mind.Let us know how we can help you further.Yellowdog.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
Jesper Posted May 16, 2010 Author Report Posted May 16, 2010 Heja Sverige :) Thanks for the answer - perhaps I will give a try, though Sheraton is a bit out of town.Jesper

Jesper Posted March 13, 2011 Author Report Posted March 13, 2011 I'm sorry i didn't follow up on this thread - but I did not book Rio through Priceline. I found a nice b&B in Rio. I thought that The Sheraton was too far away to be won. :)
