hi. i see that for st john you have listed westin as the resort that participates via priceline. just to be clear, if i select "resorts" within priceline will i pretty much be guaranteed i'll get into the westin (given my bid is accepted)? i only ask b/c i need to be SURE since i'll be attending a wedding taking place @ the westin and don't want to bid and end up on the other side of the island. much thanks.

Your assumption is not correct, you are can not be guaranteed of getting the Westin.

what are the CHANCES of getting the westin? pretty good? 50/50? unlikely?

What are the dates of your stay... but i'll preface this by saying that your original post stated you "need to be SURE", and even if we think the odds are in your favor, you're still taking a risk, one that only you can decide if it's worth taking or not.

hi. thanks. the wedding i'll be attending is the first weekend in may (6-8). i understand there's always a risk...just wondering how much. if it looks really unlikely will just book directly w/ the hotel for the listed prices.

There are only two resorts on St John, The Westin and Caneel Bay Resort, The Caneel Bay Resort has not been a priceline hotel in the past and far as I know never been won in a bid. And considering thier rates start at 450.00 to well over 800.00 a night for Caneel Bay Resort your bidding would have to start way over what you would for the Westin. But im sure Caneel Bay Resort is not included in priceline bidding. I feel you can bid resort in St John with confidence knowing its The Westin.
