tac680 Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 The Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins consistently shows the Roosevelt at $110 a night. I'd be happy to stay there but never get a winning bid in spite of bidding as high as $145 for the area. Are these wins usually at the last minute? If so, how long before my stay on 5/20 do I need to bid to get a room at a reasonable rate?
AaronJB Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Rates do vary significantly from day-to-day and can change over time (what someone may have paid for 5/20 may be less than what a winning bid may be for 5/20 now, for example.) Additionally, one has to be prepared to win any of the possible hotels at a star rating in a certain area - if you bid 3.5* MTE, for example, you could possibly win any of the 3.5*'s in MTE (a couple of which are a bit far E in MTE), or possibly be upgraded to a 4*.What would be your desired budget per night, and which areas are you interested in bidding for? Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
